A couple of quick notes:

  1. Use “Rifts_Character_Sheet.pdf” if you still like using pencils and erasers and the like to fill out your character sheets. However, keep in mind that this character sheet was designed with PDF forms in mind because your major stats are repeated at the top of every page. This was designed to speed up battle by not having to look at several pages for different bonuses you may have. Of course, there are some great character sheets designed for you die-hard pencil and eraser guys at the Cutting Room Floor (Palladium Books’ website).
  2. The “Rifts_Chracter_Sheet_Fillable.pdf” version was created with sufficient rights in even the free Adobe Acrobat Reader (version 7+) so you can save the PDF with your character’s data inside of it. If you have Adobe Acrobat 7+ Standard or Professional, you can also export your form data separately and keep your character data in much smaller files.

One last thing to mention on both of these sheets: pages 3 & 4 are optional. This character sheet was designed to work as a single, double-sided sheet that you could easily flip between the “Skills & Abilities” and “Combat & Equipment” sections for switching from regular game play to combat. It was with great hesitation I created the additional two sheets, but I buy into the reasoning that some people want to keep all of their characters’ information on these sheets. There should now be plenty of room for your spells and psionics, guys, so no more whining! :-) (Note: in case you didn’t want to count them, there are 155 spaces for spells and/or psionics)
